Monday Oct 31st ‘05
Dear Family
HCG “8”! We just got through praising God,
hugging each other and sharing tears of joy. Then we sent
out this e-mail. I always like the good news first. This
has been a difficult week for Judy. No doubt because the
chemo doing it’s job weakens the body. She is
dangerously low again on both her white and red blood
cell count. She received two injections today for that.
Someone ask me again this week if I have went back and
read my e-mails over the past months. I told them I have
not. The reason I have is I don’t have the grace to
do that right now. I know there will be a day when I can
and I might mention that I want to talk to Judy about
those 46 days in detail that she has little or no memory
of. As I have given this some thought I think about folks
going through trials in the Bible. They stood for God
each day and faced the tests that came with God’s
help. The only time I can remember someone going back
over the past while they were in the middle of the trial
was Gideon. When God sent his angel to him he talked of
his own weak stature and that statement “If God is
for us why are all these things happening to us?” At
which God simply said “ Go in this your power and
save your people.” No dwelling on his own weakness
or what the enemy has and is doing, but get to work, get
to faith, die out to self, yesterday and let me be your
present victory. That’s what I am trying with the
Spirit of God to do. I don’t know how well I have
done but I know my love for Him has deepened. My faith
has grown. He has never failed me. I know you will keep
praying for us and that blesses us everyday.
