Tuesday Nov. 29th ‘05
Dear Family
We have just returned from Judy’s doctor and her 5
hour chemo treatment. Just before we left they loaded us
up with injections and paper work to take home. Then in a
calm tone they said: “”You have one more
treatment on December 20th and that should be Your last
one.” We looked at each other and ask if we heard
correctly. Yes we feel just one more is needed. We will
monitor your HCG and blood levels over the next several
weeks and make sure. They went on to relate that they
knew this has been a long battle for us and once again
the term “Miracle lady” was used. I guess we
were numb. This news came on the heels of a coming
mammogram and a colonoscopy. And instructions on the
waiting period that will cover first, the next 6 weeks
and then what is to be faced after that. Yet the news now
is: ONE MORE TREATMENT AND THE CHEMO IS OVER! P. T. L.!
Tonight Judy is very tired and in a lot of joint pain.
This is another side effect of the chemo. We are so
thankful that the Lord continues to give us both grace to
go through this. We are joyful at today’s news. I
think it will soak in as the next few days pass. We feel
at times to tired to shout but like Judy in ICU after a
difficult treatment she would smile and give a “thumbs
up!” So tonight we smile and our thumbs are pointing
upward to our precious healing Lord.
