Today's
Update: Includes July 20th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th
Dear Friends
Monday July 25th 3:30 p.m.
Greetings from Gods waiting room again here in
Edmond Oklahoma. Judy began her 5th chemo treatment
today. The doctor just left the room a short time ago and
we have a new prayer request for you. It seems there is
the possibility that Judys tumors are growing
resistant to this present therapy. The hormone that
carried the cancer to her lungs is not completely dying
at the rate he feels is necessary. We may have to start a
new chemo regiment. Now there are a lot of
Ifs but we decided a long time ago to
avoid those and trust in God and the agreement of prayer.
So that is what we will continue with your help to do. I
also ask for your prayers for Gods church. Our
building is about to be completely enclosed. This means
we should start on the inside soon. We are having to
accelerate getting into our new facility because of
factors out of our control. Also my time away from my
dear people is taxing on them I know. Please pray that
through all this we will be able to be what God and His
flock need of us and that Judys victory will be
sooner than later!

Dear Friends
Friday July 23rd 5:00 p.m.
Went to the hospital this morning. Judys blood
count was low and she received an injection. Her blood
pressure was also low and she has had light headedness
for the first time in this battle. We continue take this
one day at a time. You really canget back into what was
normal day to day as it was before. We leave t
completely for Edmond tomorrow evening For the 2 day stay
and the beginning of her 5th treatment. The trip is
difficult on Judy so we go early and stay at a motel and
then go in to the hospital around 8:00 a.m. I know you
will continue to keep us in your prayers. How do you
thank someone that you owe so much too? We love and
appreciate each of you! Judy and I have been able to
attend the evening services at Refuge Youth Camp. I
preach in the morning service tomorrow. We learned that
several have been saved and found help. P.T.L!

Dear Friends
Friday July 22nd 3:30 a.m. (Yes
its the middle of the morning)
Have you ever had those nights when you just cant
sleep? I know we all have and this is one for me. Each
day has it blessings and challenges. I try to mostly
focus on the good things. Youth camp started this evening
on the NOC campus in Tonkawa and Judy got to kick off the
meeting with inviting some 200 plus young people with a
whispered shout: Are you ready for Refuge camp
2005? A cheer went up from the crowd very surprised
to see Sister Judy able to be there if but for a short
time. Our son Johnathan shared how the burden he was
carrying for this meeting was over 25 years old and
started with his folks. I had tears in my eyes on the way
home. Judy was not going to the Kitchen to cook and I
wasnt able to stay at the meeting. But it was a
blessed feeling to see a torch passed again and so many
being helped. This camp is in its third year since
Johnathan and his wife Karri felt led to have it. (And as
many of you know the Bristow Ok. camp is still going well
under the direction of our friends Jeff and Jewell
Mendenhall and the Oak St COG.) Judys blood count
was low today and had to get medication at our hospital.
She was not feeling well most of the day and was very
tired. I do see improvement in her muscle tone. She had
all but lost most of it while in the hospital. I keep
remembering what one of the nurses said: You can
tear down a house in a day but it takes months to build
it back. We continue the daily battle with faith in
God and still leaning heavy on all of your prayers and
support. I wish you knew how much we love and appreciate
all of you dear friends and family. For those interested,
the roof is going on our new facility. It will be so good
to have a more permanent home to worship in one of these
days soon. Please say an extra prayer that Judys
insurance company will release the funds they owe. It is
suppose to be an 80/20 with us being responsible for 20%.
We learned today its going up to 30% for our part
and because they are slow doing theirs we are getting
more pressure than normal. Her hospital bill has passed
$30.000 at this time and as many of you know there are
several other services that bill separately. I know God
will continue to help us and we covet your prayers.

Dear Friends
Wednesday July 20th 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday we traveled again to OKC so Judy could finish her
forth chemo treatment. To the hospital again this a.m.
here in Ponca for another blood test. Her white cells are
low but not dangerous. She is experiencing some of the
effects of this latest treatment but they have been
manageable. I continue to marvel at Gods goodness
to us. Judys sister Jan is with her today. She
traveled from Palestine Texas to share a day. Her last
visit saw Judy on a breathing machine and heavily
medicated. Today she carefully walked out the door to
meet her sister. It was a wonderful sight for both of
them! Judy has been asked to open youth camp tomorrow
night with an appearance. Pray she will be strong enough.
I know it will encourage all those who like you are
praying for her complete healing.
