Today's Update "God's Waiting Room":
Dear Friends
Thursday June 23rd 2:00 p.m. Day 42
This day started with another wonderful nurse who has a
mission; I want to get this lady home and
soon. The Goal: the first of next week! The need:
Judy to be strong enough to walk and have enough strength
to do the basics. To get her Trach. Removed. She is only
2 small steps away from being off her oxygen. She walked
today with help to the nurses station. Her Trach. Was
removed this afternoon. We Took a ride in a wheelchair.
(She will tell you about that) Her strength is doubled
from yesterday she told me. Now Someone who has been
silent for several weeks wants to share a message with
you:
What a beautiful world God has made. My Chuck took
me outside to the hospital garden today. Its the
first time I have been able to enjoy the out of doors
since May the 13th. Although we did not spend a great
deal of time there because of the temperature it was a
blessing. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of
you for your love and prayers and your faith in God. You
have held me up and my family when we could not stand
alone. I know there are rough seas ahead, But THIS
SHIP IS MADE TO SAIL. Keep holding on for us we
love you all, Judy

Friday June
24th 1:00 p.m. Day 43
Lam 3:22 Through the Lords mercies we are not
consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are
new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. 24
"The LORD is my portion," says my soul,
"Therefore I hope in Him!" NKJV This is another
scripture that we have lived over and again! Our faith
and hope has been rewarded again and again. I remember in
my younger Christian days that my faith would fail but
God wouldnt. After the victory came I couldnt
enjoy as much. This time by Gods grace we are truly
rejoicing! My friend Pastor Vernon Weindorff told his
flock: if you want to enjoy the victory, get in on
the praying and believing Lets all enjoy
these moments and have faith in the ones to come! Judy
says she feels much stronger today. She can rise from bed
and chair on her own. This amazed the physical Therapist.
The goal is still to go home Monday after she completes
her third chemo treatment. Just a note: For those of you
within driving distance of Ponca City. There will be a
benefit concert for Judy Friday July 1st at the North
East Baptist Church 2200 N. Pecan (They donated their
large facility for this event) It starts at 7:00 p.m. and
features Southern Gospel Music by Inheritance Trio, The
Homesteaders, and Masters Voice. Admission will be
free with a love offering taken to help with health care
expenses. It is our prayer that Judy will be able to
attend part of this concert. Our deepest thanks go out to
all those who are giving their time, facilities and
talents to help.

Dear Friends
Friday June 24th 7:00 p.m. Day 43
There have been a number of happenings during our stay
here. I thought it would be interesting to share a story
now and then with the updates. One night an ambulance
brought two teenagers that had been seriously hurt in a
freak accident, (One was D.O.A.) The hospital became
filled with crying, weeping emotional teenagers and
parents of the children. Judy was very sick and as we
walked up to the folks gathered I told my children I
couldnt be away from Judys side but see what
they could do to help. A nurse was franticly going
through a phone book saying: We need a
preacher! My daughter Dawn answered: There
are two right here! My Son Johnathan, Chuck and
Dawn spent the next hours ministering to the young people
, friends and family. Much comfort was given and folks
said they so appreciated the help. We learned later one
of the families were from one of our churches. Judy has
had a great day. Her oxygen has been put at the lowest
sitting. We have walked together and she has covered a
lot of ground. Her appetite has returned and she is able
to eat again. Pray with us that her strength will
continue to grow.

Dear Friends
Saturday June 25th 4:00 p.m. Day 44
Another wonderful day. Judy is gaining strength every
day. The goal is still to be home by Monday evening. This
will still take quite an undertaking. Home health care.
In home items that will help her continue to get better
as she goes through the next few months of Chemo. Then
every other week a 2 day hospital stay will seem quite
easy compared to what has been! We know there are still
battles ahead but with Gods continued help and all
your prayers I know we will make it through this with
victory. The hospital is instructing us on how we are to
live when we leave here. Where Judy can go, who can visit
her, what she is to eat, how she is to exercise and much
more. This of course only has to be followed if we want
her well. Here goes the preacher in me again...How many
sick Christians are walking around missing the wonderful
things God has done for them because they are not
following the instruction from their Pastors and
Gods Word? We are privileged to have some of the
hospital staff go with us to church tonight. God has
opened so many doors to witness. One of the sweet but sad
times happened when all our family was here and we gave
Judy what we thought was a private concert of her
favorite gospel songs. When we finished and had left ICU
a nurse came running: Can you folks come back?
There is a lady dying and she has no family and no one
with her. Her blood pressure was almost gone. We
sang amazing grace to her and watched as all her vitals
came back to normal. When we left her room several of the
ICU staff was standing outside crying. The Lord came and
got her 4 days later. He is still working on the rest of
us!
