Dear Friends
Tuesday Aug. 2nd 9:30 p.m.
We returned this evening from OKC and the completion of
Judy’s 5th chemo treatment. Today they added yet
another chemo regiment to those she is already on.
Instead of Just one hour at the doctors office this took
4 hours. It was explained to us that Judy has done very
well but it appears the Hormone that carried the cancer
to her lungs is not dying as fast as it should. It is
hoped this added medication will aid in finishing off
what is left of it. One of the side affects of this chemo
is kidney injury and severe nausea. We ask you again to
pray that these will be overcome and Judy will continue
to beat this awful disease. Judy is scheduled for a daily
blood work at our local hospital with medication to raise
her white cells and she is to receive 2 units of blood on
Thursday to raise her red ones and to help ease her
weakness. I was trained today (For a second time) to give
her injections when needed at home. “I am not a
doctor but I have played one many times during this
challenge!” Tonight we sat in each others arms on
our couch. Do you know what a blessing it is to just sit
and hold your sweetheart? Go as soon as you can and hug
your spouse! I am only half a person without Judy: Mark
