Today's Update: Includes 2 Days

Monday  Sept. 26th  ‘05

Dear Family

Judy’s HCG is the lowest yet! 37! We go tomorrow to OKC for another chemo
treatment. I know you are praying for us and we so appreciate it.

Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert
place , and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they
had no leisure so much as to eat.  KJV

Friday Evening Judy and I went to hear our son’s sing at a concert. It
was the first time we had been able to go that far away from home  “and
rest awhile”.  Even though Judy had some challenges and we were not able
to do all we had planned, it was good to “get away” for a short time.

We were privileged to spend the night in a cabin on the “Krug Ranch”.
There were no bars on my cell phone and to check on us our son came on a
four wheeler. It was quiet, peaceful and full of God’s creation all
around.

When the sun came up Saturday morning I sat and watched the activity on
the pond and in the surrounding forest. Everything was working just as
God had created it. Birds singing, fish coming to the service to eat, and
squirrels gathering food. There is an island in the middle of that body
of water and having been to this cabin several times before we have
talked about how nice it would be to clear off all the vegetation and put
a picnic table on that island. Having lived in a forest for many years we
also knew what that would mean: Weekly mowing, weed control and so on. 

It was then God reminded me that when you remove all the growth around a
pond the water will become green and full of ugly looking things. God
made all those plants to give off just the right chemicals to keep the
water pure, and all the nature around it supplied with what is needed.
That’s the way life is! When we keep our hands off of things and let God
work in us He  supplies all our needs and keeps us pure in heart. When we
want to fix things our way it gets ugly!

Thanks God for another lesson in this quiet place. Help us to keep our
hands off and allow you to create in us the life you want us to have.

Thursday  Sept. 22nd  ‘05

Dear Family

“This has been one of my best days yet!” That statement came from Judy 
on the heals of another emergency trip to the dentist. Even having
another tooth to brake didn’t spoil the good day she had and the way she
felt. We are making plans to hear our three sons (Ben, Johnathan and
Chuck) Share their  gifts and talents this weekend in Bristow as well as
attend a fellowship meeting. What a thrill this will be if the Lord
allows it. Our very special friends (and family) “Susan” & “The Krug’s”
have a cabin for us to stay in Friday night so we can be close to what’s
happening this weekend and a place where Judy can return and rest.
