On April 6, 2005 the following email was sent out by Chuck Scroggs:

"We learned today that Judy has Cancer. I am looking at that word as I type this. God is a bigger Word than Cancer. Would you please pray for her and our family."

Judy had been dealing with some abdominal pain and not being able to use the restroom. She went to the doctor in March to run some tests and find out what the problem was. They took biopsies and thus found out that she had cancer in her uterus. They did a full hysterectomy but found out that a hormone had carried the cancer to her lungs. The hormone duplicated itself till it reached 300,000 in her blood. However, since the chemotherapy started they have been able to drastically reduce that number to now 7,000. Judy has been in ICU in Edmond Medical Center for almost 2 and one half weeks now. She is currently connected to a respirator but is slowly being taken off that machine. The updates are keeping everyone informed of her continuous fight that she will win.
